Ivan F. Camanor, MD, MPH&TM, FWACP, FLCPS

 

Dr. Ivan Fayeah Camanor has worked in over 40 years in various public health capacities starting as Community health officer in Lofa County, 1978 – 1980, and at national and international level form 1981 to 1984 when he served as Director of the Bureau of Preventive Services, and from 1984 – 1987 as Chief Medical Officer (CMO) and Deputy Minister Health, Republic of Liberia, responsible for public health policy and health program development, and implementation oversight, including the identification of health priorities, formulation diseased control interventions.

                 

From 1988 – 2008, Dr. Camanor worked for United Nations Children Fund (UNICEF) in four African countries, Lesotho, Angola, Eritrea and supporting public health interventions including emergency response and preparedness programming for complex emergencies including disasters and disease outbreaks in the four countries. He serves as lecturer for community health in the School of Public Health at Cuttington University in Liberia from 2010 to 2016.   

 

Upon his return to Liberia in 2008, Dr. Camanor served as Chairman of the National AIDS Commission of Liberia (NAC) of Liberia from 2010 and to 2018; served as Vice President of the West African College of Physicians (WACP). Dr Camanor is a 1976 graduate of the AM Dogliotti College of Medicine, University of Liberia, a Humphry Fellow, holds a Master’s in Public health and Tropical Medicine from Tulane School of Public Health and Tropical Medicine, a Fellow of the West African College of Physician (FWACP) and, a Foundation Fellow of the Liberian College of Physicians and Surgeons.  I am currently retired. He served on the Executive Board of WHO and is currently a Member of the Board of Trustees of the West African College of Physicians,  WACP.

 

 

 

Mr. Roosevelt Woods

Mr. Roosevelt A.K. Woods is a Liberian, a human rights activist with impeccable character. He was born into the union of Mr. & Mrs. Samuel Kofi Woods, Sr., in the Township of Caldwell, Montserrado County, and has primarily worked within the NGO sector for over 15 years. Mr. Woods serves as Executive Director of the Foundation for International Dignity (FIND), a pro-democracy and human rights organization working in Liberia since 2003. He has worked in this capacity since February 2008. Mr. Woods completed his graduate education at the Cuttington University Graduate Program, where he was awarded a Master of Public Administration (MPA) degree in Public Administration, emphasizing Public Sector Management.

Madam Martha F. Korpu

Madam Martha F. Korpu is a member of the Board of Commissioners of the Public Procurement and Concessions Commission (PPCC).  She was appointed in July 2023 by the President of Liberia, His Excellency Dr. George Manneh Weah, following the confirmation formalities by the Liberia Senate. 

 

Madam Korpu completed her graduate studies from the Cuttington University Graduate School and obtained a Master of Public Health (MPH) Degree with emphasis in Health Care Policy and Management. She previously earned a Bachelor of Arts (BA) Degree in Sociology from the University of Liberia.

   

Madam Korpu is a healthcare professional with good deal of experience in managing and procuring pharmaceutical products and providing healthcare services to the needy. She has worked with a number of healthcare delivery centers including the Liberia National Red Cross Society and ELWA Hospital, where she served as Transitional Coordinator. 

Bishop Matthew W. Kantan, Sr.

Bishop Matthew W. Kantan is an ordained Minister of the Gospel, a leader and an astute public servant. He was appointed to the PPCC Board of Commissioner in 2023 by His Excellency Dr. George Mannah Weah. His appointment as Commissioner was preceded by a scrupulous cross examination and confirmation proceedings conducted by the Liberia Senate. Bishop Kantan is the Founder and General Overseer of the Evangel World Outreach Ministries, Inc. He previously served the Liberian Government as Special Assistant to the Director General of the Civil Service Agency. He has also worked in the education sector, as well as Non-Governmental Organazation, where he served as educator/classroom teacher and project manager respectively. He holds a BA Degree in Biblical Studies (Bible & Theology) and several certificates in the field of Theology and other areas of studies. He has travelled extensively and attended seminars and international conferences to deepen his knowledge and provide his expertise on the development and growth of the Church.

Hon. Mardia Jallah

Honorable Madia Jallah is the Vice Chairperson of the Board of Commissioners of the Public Procurement and Concessions Commission (PPCC). She was appointed in 2018 by His Excellency George Manneh Weah and reappointed in April 2023 to serve in this capacity.

Commissioner Jallah has served Liberia in several capacities, both in the public and private sectors. She brings to the PPCC wide range of experience and expertise essential for the forward march of PPCC.

Hon. Robert H. Clarke is a successful computer systems administrator with extensive analytical experience investigating and diagnosing problems and knowledge of IT operating systems, especially windows. He is multi-talented with good technical skills and develops and maintains close working relationships with other support and development teams, including vendors. He has the personal drive required to deliver a service that exceeds colleagues’ expectations and end-users through a positive, well-organized, and structured work ethic. He is best remembered in Liberia for his spectacular ‘breakdancing’ soccer skills during his professional years spent on the soccer pitch. Bulk of his professional years has been spent in the Information Technology sector, where he served various companies as IT Manager/Administrator.
